Perfect for a peaceful getaway

Had a quiet night here, room was nice with a terrace it was comfy. The staff were actually attentive without being overbearing, and the food at dinner was gourmet, fresh and classy, almost too good to finish.

It wasn't exactly cheap but acceptable for what you get.

Wonderful, peaceful green setting. Our room had a great view over lawns and woods. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good restaurant with excellent included breakfast. Location perfect for Esbjerg ferry, Legoland and Ribe visits, with travel on quiet country roads. Plenty of free parking.

Great traditional danish inn with restaurant , rooms with park access through patio style door are well positoned . 20 mins from Billund airport and legoland etc

reception is 7 til 7 only , check in is via restaurant in the evening , rooms could do with a refurbishment

A delicious surprise at breakfast

Waking up to the aroma of freshly baked bread and organic juices made my mornings good. The staff was like family, always looking out for our needs!

The limited entertainment options left the kids a bit restless after dinner. The overall charm of the place made up for it.

Situated close to Legoland & Billund airport. Oldest mediaeval town Ribe within driving distance for a lovely day out. Lots of toys available, places for children to mix & play together. Hotel guest children were contented & behaved quietly & well. Most families were Scandinavian.

I like more luxury when travelling, but facilities were adequate. This is ideal if you have young children.

We liked our stay at the hotell very much. The Garden was very nice to sit in reading a book.

I woul¨ ld have liked more alternatives on the menue. Other than pancakes for children, hamburgers with french-fries. Less fancy courses ordinary food.

The hotel has a charming atmosphere, but I found the room quite small.

Apart from the dining room where dinner was served and which was located in the oldest part of the complex, the hotel was lacking in character and the breakfast room had the feel of a canteen.

We were given a genuine welcome. The hotel was very convenient as a stopover from the Esbjerg ferry and as a base for exploring much of the Jutland peninsula

The Kro offers a charming atmosphere with a beautifully thatched roof, excellent food, and a super calm place ideal for work. The staff was efficient in setting up my presentation equipment and very accommodating throughout my stay. I particularly enjoyed the various organic juices served at breakfast, alongside freshly baked bread.

You feel welcome from the first moment because the staff is so friendly, the atmosphere makes you feel relaxed. The room is cosy, clean and functional and then you see the garden ... wonderful. The restaurant serves good quality food for a reasonable price with the same friendly service. It's a pity you have to leave again.

It was just a fitting option for a swift visit with definitely value for money. I loved the freshly baked bread served at breakfast. Make sure to try the organic juices they offer.

the room was clean, but the bath room obviously had been forgotten...should not happen in a hotel this category....

Great food and friendly staff. Limited activities for families. Would stay again.
